Day 227---Friday

I still can't really figure out what to put in the china cabinet---I don't have real china, even pieces! But the china cabinet is where Larry's dad's flag ended up, and I think it's staying there.
Even though the wife traditionally gets the flag of a veteran, Martha's kids told Larry ahead of time that they thought he ought to have it. So the military guy presented it to Larry after the graveside service. The shells were from the 21-gun salute the old guys form the VFW shot off at the end of the graveside service.

I think you should get one of those special wood and glass cases for that flag. That's a very special item; I glad your husband got possession of that.
