B and I started this game yesterday and finished up this morning. We have modified the rules a bit. I want to encourage her, not discourage. I will help her with spelling---no penalties. And we decided to allow a "trade" of one letter at the beginning of a turn. It made me end up getting the Q and X after she put them back!! She came up with the word "rarity" (She put an extra
i in it, but I let her keep the word.) Can you believe that? Also, it's a standing rule at our house that you can use Spanish words, if you know them. It's her "tu" up there in the corner.

That's a wonderful way to help her read and learn new words. I'm a big believer in "encouraging."
Good job!
