Oh no! Been there, done that, not too long ago in fact! Glad you've got a window unit to get you through! We went several days with just fans, and it was rough!
I was DREADING how much it was going to cost to have the heatpump fixed. You hear horror stories, ya know? We prayed for the Lord to lead us to someone who wouldn't rip us off and that it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg and he answered our prayers! It turned out to be something called a capacitor. It only took them about 20 minutes to fix and cost $128.
I hope it goes as smoothly and inexpensively for you as well!
Yeah for the temporary AC!!!
