January Photo 7

I took this one while stopped at a stop light. The sunset was so pretty, and the deer (statue) was an interesting silhouette. I wish I could have gotten another shot of the sunset, but I was rushing from one thing to another at this point.

December photo 11

We got snow on the 10th December! The ground was still so warm it didn't stick to the roads---so off to the mall for me! ;-)
I have more pictures on my other blog.

December photo 5

I got the kids all dressed up and took their pictures. I'm glad it was kinda warm, for B's sake, in her short-sleeved shirt.

November 1-25

Here's my second catching up post. November stuff I took pictures of:

B was interested in heritage photos

My car is making patterns with the numbers on the odometer. I can't help but notice them.
I made a rainbow for letter R with each child making a segment of the rainbow.

The train. At the library, you're literally a few feet from all that power. It's kinda scary!
B at the Scout House with her new American Girl mini doll

J taking a picture of the mirror

J was in Flashback Fever. My other blog has more photos!
I was waiting for the train to pass one night. If you're an Aggie, do you know where I was sitting??

Turkey cookies for snack.

We put our thankful thoughts into a box this month. here are all our ideas on the table.

Another shot at school---writing on the white board is a rare treat for them!

B and the pecan pie she helped me make (before it got baked!). We sent it up to J's school for the teacher drawing right before Thanksgiving. Throughout the day, they drew teachers' names, and they then got to go to the library and pick a pie that someone from the PTO had brought up. I don't know who got ours, but sure would like to.

My necklace I bought for myself. I just totally love it. There are earrings to match that I didn't get, but if I ever get invited to a Premiere jewelry party, I will get them!
B got 1st place at the district meet for Art Memory!! Go girl!!

That's it--until I post this week's photos!

August Photo 27

That's mine!! Number 22!!

We went to Pyro on TX Avenue, near LaRiviera, where the Hooter's was going to be---you know where I mean. Just south (towards College Station) of where Wal-Mart used to be. There are so many times in this town when I use a landmark of a place that used to be someplace. People know what I am talking about. I think.

I had gotten a gift certificate for $25 that was worth $50, so we used it for Larry's birthday. We liked it! You get to make your own meal with your own choice of meat and veggies, and then you add your choice of sauces. I'd recommend adding more sauce than you think you need. All 4 of us were too conservative in the sauce area.

We had some really interesting clouds this one evening. Funny thing, though--I don't think we got any rain off this!

July Photo 1

I like this house because we have gotten to stay there---like 10 years ago! ;-) We stayed here in our hometown when we looked for a house to live in. Anyway, it's all decked out in red, white and blue for the Fourth!

I liked how these birds were nesting , even with the preventive fringes on all the sign's letters.

Here's B in the air on her longest jump. It was 8 feet, 6 inches. Pretty good for a little girl! She wasn't able to jump over 8 feet last summer at all. Unfortunately, B didn't place this meet. The girl who won---the girl who got first place in every event she tried----jumped over twelve feet. She's an amazing athlete. I hope we can be cheering her on as the girls go on through school together.

B did get a FIRST PLACE ribbon in the 800 meter run. She found her pace (despite and untied shoe), and finished strong.

June Photo 3

This isn't the greatest picture, but it's represenative of the night. J and Larry were nominated for Ovie awards this year with the acting troupe J is in. Larry did a show back around Christmas, I think. I have a headache and can't remember all the awards, but J came home with 2 and Larry did too. One of Larry's was for a character he played called "Gaylord Fontaine" that was on the Carol Burnett Show. J got a "Rising Star" award, and I think that's what he's standing on stage for here.

Both the kids thought this improvement to the church building where I work was really neat. I thought so, too. There is a drain under that middle stone. Before, it was all plant life in there, but now it's a little sitting area by the doors to the administration offices. The company who does the work is owned by a member of the church.

May Photo 28

Our final Girl Scout meeting was a party day we had at the park. The girls planned it themselves. B's contribution was a silly Karate exercise class. (She does not know karate at all. This was not my idea and I wouldn't have approved it! But whatever---they had fun.) Here, one of the girls showed the others how to make a balloon dog.

May Photo 26

Here's a photo that shows where we were set up for the concert on the steps. It was really nice. We brought a blanket and two camp chairs. I was longing for Shakespeare in the Park (Fort Worth). Lar and I used to love that. Or I did. :-)

April Photo 26

I know I used this one on my other blog already, but I only took 2 shots that day!

April Photo 25

Another Friday night, another softball game. This is Larry, coaching first base. B is not the girl on first! I just liked the symmetry of their stances.

Today I went with B to the fire station. They were kind enough to put the ladder truck out and put the ladder all the way up---95 feet. Two Moms went up. I have no regrets that neither of the Moms was me. B was with members of the Dream Team at school---a group that is community conscious and trying to make the world a better place. (3rd graders and 1st graders.)

Today B is 9 and 7 twelfths years old. ;-) J's half birthday---coming up in a week!

April Photo 22

This girl in my class is striking a pose---unexpected, but it's totally her! ;-)
