I got a pumpkin today. I have been hearing that the pumpkin crop is not very good this year, and if you want one at all, you better get it early. So here's my choice! This news may really be true---there wasn't much of a selection at the big grocery store.I love it's color and nice round shape.

I hadn't heard about a pumpkin scarcity. We're having a pumpkin patch at church starting this weekend. We can't carve until the night before, though; otherwise, the pumpkin become dessicated. Ick.
I heard that too, because of the drought conditions, but there wasn't a scarcity when we got ours at the orchard this year. maybe our timing was right. pretty pumpkin you got there!
