Is this backpack too big? Yes, it is as heavy as it looks. There is a computer in there, a bunch of spiral notebooks, a binder (and another binder for band isn't in there!), shoes for gym, pens, pencils, sunglasses, etc. What can be done? No one has lockers at this school.

Your son has to bring his own computer to class? Bummer! Our kids' have computers in their classroom and in the lab. Still, my daughter's backpack is enormously overstuffed, so we bought her a rolling backpack.
The computer is provided by the school. We had to pay $50 for insurance.
