October Photo 14

There aren't may pictures I can share of my students---but this one where he's goofy I can use! ;-) Can you see my Social Studies posters on the wall behind him? I have photos from the Internet of the President, Governor, and the Mayors of our twin cities. This boy was enjoying the Star Student privileges of sitting in the chair and sharing some of his toys from home.

October Photo 8

Today at school, as a part of our "Community Helpers" unit, an actual baker came and showed us how to make cinnamon rolls and kolaches. This is he and his son, rollin' the dough.

June Photo 30

These pictures were taken at school on Tuesday. I just thought their little hair decorations were so cute, I had to get them all! One picture is twins, I bet you can tell. Just love that!

June Photo 29

Here's our little friend from church. Patriotic colors, and he has dual citizenship---US (born here) and Australian (his parents are both from there). Either way, I guess he's sporting his country's colors.

February photo 7

These 3 kids were looking at a Star Student board. I thought it was funny the way both of those kids are holding their Tinkertoy creations. And that they built matching ones!

Day 353---Thursday

These are the Perler Bead ornaments that our Girl Scout troop made for Meals on Wheels for tray favors for Christmas. My own kids love perler beads, and are very creative without following a pattern. We got some new pegboards this year---candy cane, snowman, and Christmas tree.

Day 349---Sunday

This si one I'm sure J took. Why I don't know, and what's going on, I still don't know. But I do know these are the littlest Pet Shop figures and the other figures are from J's Heroscape game. It was some together time with B and J!

Day 344---Tuesday

Ths little girl loves to have her picture made, and apparently to take pictures as well. She's a fun gal to be around!

Day 334---Saturday

These are our Webkins. The kids and I went and bought 3 today! From left to right there is Panda, Bananas, Pamperr (B's original---a gift from a friend), and Larry.

Day 318---Thursday

It's Star Student day in my class! I also got a new rug in my room. It's so colorful---the kids love it. It has all the fruit of the Spirit on there, in English and Spanish.

Day 276---Thursday

It's our day for the fire fighters to visit school. This is my class, listening to the firefighter talk about the tools they have on the truck. One of my students said that fire fighters didn't need a broom. The fire fighter set him straight, explaining about the sweeping they do if there's a car wreck. This is always a fun day the kids and adults look forward to.

Day 275---Wednesday

These two girls are working together. I love how dirty their shirts are. Some kids get upset by a dirty shirt, so I always tell them that a dirty shirt just means you are having a good day. Paint, a little water (from washing hands, maybe? or the water table), a little bit of crumbs from snack---it all adds up to a good day.

I also love that theya re working together. Together is the hard part they are learning a tthis age. :-)

Day 230---Monday

Monday took us to the pool---I got a little sunburn myself. You will never find me laying out like this. And you really can't find these kids laying out for very long, either.

Day 88---Saturday

Our school district had an ArtFest today. We knew that B had artwork in the show, and were surprised to find out that J had something also. His art teacher said when she pulled his bowl out of the kiln, she said, "This has to go in the show." B's two pieces are flanking her---a Storyteller Doll (the one with all the yellow and blue and red), and her other one is to her left with a yellow mat.
Good Job, kids!

Day 73---Friday

E spent the night at our house even though the rest of his family stayed at a hotel. Apparently it was important to spend the night with us! It was fun to have him---he was no trouble. This morning we took a walk to the park near our house, and his Dad hopped out of the car as they passed us on the way to our house. So this is us walking back to our house across the "creek" Thisis usually dry, but after so much rain, we still have a flow going across.

Day 72--Thursday

It's the four cousins on my side of the family! My sister's two kids and my two kids. I was watching all four by myself while my sis and her husband went to the Presidential Library and the Bonfire Memorial.
