B spent her Christmas money gift on clothes. She got a pair of jeans and this outfit. It's been going back and forth between cold and very warm around here! Shorts are a good buy any time of year.

Today I spent the gift card my friends gave me as I left my preschool job. They told me not to spend it on my kids. But J needed a bathing suit, so I picked up that. And shorts for B---but this means I can spend $25 there later without guilt, right? I got two things for my new school wardrobe---a pair of Lee khaki pants that is perfect (did you know they had "short petite," and I need that?), and a skirt that B said looked like a violin-playing skirt. It's a Simply Vera, Vera Wang pencil skirt that was originally $64, that I got for only $12.80. WoooooHoo!

I can be as stylish as Sarah Jessica Parker! I can get a line of her inexpensive clothes at Steve and Barry's in my mall. These are shorts. No, you can't see my size! ;-)

I've been adding on the activity patches on the back of B's Girl Scout vest. These are not the ones she earns---those go on the front, and they're small round ones. We have a few more patches coming for activities this year.

And why did I start putting them on on the bottom? Because (being a girl), her hair covers up the patches when they're up on her shoulders. It's all about the look.

Day 15---Tuesday

There's no place like home . . .
Actually, it's school, and this was Black & White Day. We had lots of fun wearing zebra colors and making things that are black and white. These are some cool shoes one student wore.

Day 319---Friday

This is the first day of the fall I have pulled out my favorite jacket. :-) I got this jacket for Christmas a couple of years ago, after searching a long time for the perfect fit. I even got it on sale--at Cato.

Day 157---Friday

Here are my bathing suit tops. (I am about to wash the one I wore today.) I ordered the teal/black one from JCPenney. I LOVE the fabric. The swim skit was too cute---mostly black with some of the flowers over on hip. I wore them to the pool on Wednesday, but I was not happy with the top. It was too revealing for me. So I found a black top that would go with my cute skirt. I LOVE that top! It is flattering and it doesn't show too much. :-) Now maybe one day this summer, I'll be brave enough to wear it in a picture. But I doubt it! ;-)

Day 62---Monday

This is B's Easter dress from last year. I wanted to show it to my sister to see if it looked like her daughter's dress she bought for this year.
