December photo 2

You can't see J, but he's there on the second row. He's a french horn player, and this is the final bow after their Winter Concert.

October Photo 15

It was Middle School Band Night at the high school---and Homecoming. Was that on purpose? Anyway, Larry went as a chaperone for the junior high and took pictures for us. I thought this one the most interesting---but maybe just me and my flag corps sister might think that! This was a pre-game thing they did, playing for the middle school kids, maybe? The band sat on the visitor's side, playing across the field. J was there, hanging around and sitting with the high school french horn players.

May Photo 26

Here's a photo that shows where we were set up for the concert on the steps. It was really nice. We brought a blanket and two camp chairs. I was longing for Shakespeare in the Park (Fort Worth). Lar and I used to love that. Or I did. :-)

J had a band concert outdoors this week---it was worth two test grades. Can you see J standing up?

Day 345---Wednesday

The most momentous occasion of all happened today---J was able to bring home his instrument for the first time. yea! He sounds really good to me. :-) I did take a little video, but I won't share it here---the family can see it later! ;-)
