I cropped this one so you can't tell who these girls are (unless you just "know" anyway!). We had an evening at Tabitha Class to begin our church scrapbooks, in preparation for the LTC competition in April. We will work together in two groups (3rd through 5th and 6th through 8th) making two scrapbooks of things out youth and church family ahve done during the year. My plan is to do this about once a month.

This is our friend at the river at church camp. Many kids get baptized at camp---and she was one of them (long ago--she's a married lady now!). The swimming hole is just up river from there, and the kids swim there during camp.

This part always got a good laugh from our audience---the shepherd carried the lost sheep back to the flock.

My part in all this was to help with the turning on of lights and music at appropriate times. I just didn't feel up to being an actress in front of a crowd.

The church where I work (but not go to church) had their VBS this week. I ended up helping out my friends with the skits they were doing. This friend of mine is SO HAPPY because she found the lost coin in her couch cushions.

We had a fish fry after Sunday night services. Our church has been having a Fellowship Meal after services once a month, and they're really well attended. I didn't have any real great photo that captured the essence of it all, but this one shows off one of the Moms expecting a baby very soon. She has 4 girls, and this one's going to be a boy!

Day 299---Saturday

It's our church fall festival, and here's the sack race. The boy who's not my kid won this heat! It was a beautiful fall day here.

Day 236---Sunday

I attended a "Diaper Shower" for one of the moms at our church Sunday afternoon. This is her second baby, so tradition is we give her a practical shower. One of the hostesses made this diaper cake---but we had another "real" cake to eat with a raspberry filling. Yum! I have a few more shots that came out nice, but this one looked the best.

Day 110---Sunday

Another shot from Tabitha Class---we made friendship bracelets tonight and they had a party for ME! I can't believe how many celebrations I had this year! One of the ladies brought everyone their favorite candy bars to eat. (She conveniently asked everyone last week what they liked.) This little bracelet came out patriotic. :-)

Day 94---Friday

J (in the red) is in his drama skit at LTC in this pic. We don't know what kind of score he made, but it was very good. I was proud of the way he spoke up and made his lines nice and clear. The boys were buying a bird feeder, and the squirrels were "Unstoppable."

Day 89---Sunday

I took this one of one of the church girls who had knitted up all the yarn she had during the last week. She is such a crafty girl----she has that creative gene! :-)

Day 82---Sunday

There wasn't a doubt which picture I'd pick for today. This might even be our picture of the year. :-) J decided to get baptized. Totally his choice, totally his own committment, totally in God's timing. This one is right as he was coming up out of the water.

This is the front of our church, when we came back for evening services. A typical Sunday!
